Hello dog owners,

I was talking to my friend about dog food the other day…

And it reminded me of something I found amusing:

Over at the local dollar store, there’s a small section of dog treats.

Being the dollar store and all, they’ve got a nice selection of generic,
no-name brand treats.

But what’s great about these treats is that they resemble some kind of
“real” food.

There’s a bag of treats that look like grilled chicken strips,

There are ones that resemble little T-bone steaks,

And my favorite, are the ones that are made to look like little tacos —
with yellow for the shell and brown for the meat.

Now, I’m no Cesar Millan…

But I don’t think dogs really give a ship about what shape their
chewable, chicken by-product is in.

Moral of the story: I have friends.

But hey, speaking of questionable by-products…

If you ever find yourself in Albstadt, Germany, a small city about 3
hours from Munich, then you should look for a little pub.

Inside, it’s all black with dim lighting and frequented by the locals…

There, they have a specialty drink: The Fizzy Bubbly.

I wasn’t familiar at the time, but soon learned that the name comes from
the movie, “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan”.

Sadly, I don’t remember the exact recipe, but it was something simple
like 7up with Gin and Lime.

I don’t know why, but that was THE drink to have at the pub. Cause I
looked around and realized that practically everybody was enjoying a
fizzy bubbly.

Silly Germans…

How did I end up there?

Well, I was invited by my good friend, Timo.

His friend and former schoolmate ran the bar — and almost everyone
inside were classmates from the same school. Everyone in there pretty
much knew each other and grew up together.

And god damn, did they lover their Fizzy Bubblys.

There’s really no point to this story, but it was such a unique and cool
experience…

I played some songs, drank some Fizzy Bubblys, and… had a really good
time.

Now, I’ve conjured up a couple new videos, just for you.

First is an original derived from a song I heard from some dude I met in
a hostel in Jakarta. His name is Jimmy Monaghan and he has a band
called, Music For Dead Birds. You should check out one of his videos

It’s a melody that has been stuck in my head for years, and I don’t
think he’s released the song yet — so I hope he doesn’t mind…
